Dear Melton RSL Members,

As we enter the final stages of the upcoming Federal election, with the wide use of social media, the Melton RSL wishes to remind all members of the following position regarding public comment.

* The RSL is a non-political organisation and will not endorse or support individual candidates or parties who have nominated for any political election. We encourage all members to engage with each of the respective candidates in the relevant electorate. The member should seek the policies and platform of all candidates in relation to veterans and veteran support. Based on that discussion, members should then form their evaluation of the individual capabilities of each candidate in relation to the local community.

The linking of any candidate directly or indirectly to the Melton RSL Sub-branch in the form of endorsements or encouragement should be avoided in all forms of media.
